When Cards Galore came to Elemental Concept during the Covid-19 pandemic, they had just created an extremely basic Shopify presence, lacking in styling, direction and true brand identity to the iconic store so many of us know from walking the streets of London.
Elemental Concept’s designers undertook a full UX audit of the existing site, identifying key areas of low hanging fruit to fix immediately. These areas were discussed in a strategy workshop, ranging from simple format issues page by page, to menu categorisation, combined with a more powerful visual approach that would bring the site in line with its competitors. We also created a long term strategy for seasonal messaging across the site and social media for the yearly peak holidays campaigns.
We undertook the site updates, which also benefited from some crucial design elements that helped resolve the disconnect that existed between the site and the brand people know. By writing new copy and SEO content under the theme of “The Power of Connection”, we were also able to strengthen their response to the pandemic in words that resonated with who they are and the essence of their business.
We continued to support with a backlog of prewritten messaging and pre sourced visual assets, as well as staff training to maintain the site.
