Orbit Health is a Munich-based HealthTech startup. Elemental were employed to build their primary suite of products, known as Neptune. These technology products uses machine learning algorithms to bring insights to the medical treatment of Parkinson’s disease and are used by patients, carers, physicians and other medical professionals.
Neptune constitutes a medical device and to be launched in the European Economic Area (EEA), it must receive a CE mark. The Neptune technology ecosystem was therefore built with extremely stringent regulatory compliance in mind, both in regards to data protection and healthcare regulations. The whole approach and solution was documented across several detailed documents.
Leveraging the technical leadership from our Singapore and UK based technical leads, and development strength from our Myanmar team, Elemental has designed, architected and built the suite of products to include a patient mobile application integrated with wearable medical devices and a clinician portal .
Elemental also architected and built the infrastructure in readiness for the most stringent certifications (GDPR, DIGA, CE mark for security and data privacy) currently obtainable in the digital health sector.
Elemental has ensured the launch for clinical studies in both Germany and Singapore have been kept in sync with the ambitious plans, which involved successfully pivoting after the laws governing security changed half-way through the build. We continue to serve as Orbit’s technology partner as they continue to evolve their products.
